Frequently Asked Questions

FreeSiteBackLink is a curated website directory where you can discover useful websites, businesses, services and online resources organized by category. You can also submit your own website for consideration in our directory.

Create an account, then use the "Submit Website" form to add your site. You'll need to provide your website URL, a title, a description and select the most relevant category. After submission, our team will review your listing before it appears in the directory.

Free listing: Submit your website at no cost. To keep your free listing active, you'll need to place a link to FreeSiteBackLink on your website's homepage and submit proof of placement. Our system periodically checks that the link is still present.

Paid listing: A one-time payment that activates your listing immediately without requiring a reciprocal link. Paid listings also receive enhanced placement within the directory.

Most submissions are reviewed within 24 to 48 hours. You'll receive an email notification once your listing has been reviewed and either approved or rejected.

Paid listings become active immediately upon payment, though they still undergo a review check.

We verify that your website is functional, provides real content or services, is correctly categorized, and is safe for visitors. We also check for duplicate submissions. For full details, see our How We Review Websites page.

For free listings, our system periodically checks that the reciprocal link is still present on your website. If the link is removed:

  • Your listing will be temporarily deactivated
  • It will no longer appear in the directory
  • To reactivate, simply restore the link and submit proof again

Paid listings are not affected by link removal and remain active.

Yes. You can edit your listing from your dashboard at any time. You can update the title, description, category and other details. Changes may be subject to a quick review.

Submissions may be rejected if the website doesn't load, has no meaningful content, is incorrectly categorized, is a duplicate, or contains spam or unsafe material. If your submission was rejected, you're welcome to fix the issues and submit again. For full details, see our review guidelines.
